Maintenance Handyman/woman

Wellington House Nursing Home, based in Shipley are looking for a part time maintenance/handyman/woman. Working 25 hours per week Monday to Friday with the occasional call out on a weekend. The successful applicant will help maintain the home following policy and procedures and general legislative requirements. You will be asked to carry out both planned work and reactive work that may arise. Above all you must be able to work unsupervised. You do not have to be computer literate, however, there will be paperwork to be filled in especially for the health and safety checks.

Any previous experience with fire/electrical equipment would be useful.

Other duties will include
- Fixing/repairing items around the house.
- Painting/decorating.
- Clearing rubbish and debris.
- Ensuring safe access and use of driveway/car park/walkways around the grounds.
- Ensuring all site boundaries are secure.
- Planting and looking after all flowers, shrubs and trees.
- Taking care of supplies, tools and inventory.

Please note that fluency in English is required for effective communication with clients and team members.
