Venn Group is working with a Local Authority in London to recruit a Business Analyst to support them through their programme to upgrade a legacy business system to a new cloud-based platform.

This role is inside of IR35. Hybrid working is required, with onsite attendance to the office in London.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Research, analyse and document existing business systems and processes including future system aspiration
- Elicit and clearly document business and systems requirements, and business processes
- Outline problems, opportunities, and solutions for the business
- Explore the existing environment to identify gaps that impede the business to reach the desired outcomes
- Identify and create process design changes by conducting business and systems process analysis and design, focusing on quality improvement and data management
- Conduct data quality assessments, gaps analysis and cleansing proposals
- Support definition of data migration scope and construction of field mapping for extracts
- Conduct and lead workshops with Workstream Owners and Leads to support programme
- Support SWOT analysis
- Leading on development of training materials to support users on Go Live and future training

**Skills / Required experience**:

- Experience in business analysis roles supporting ICT system migrations
- Excellent business analysis, database and statistical skills
- Experience of understanding how changes to business processes impact the delivery of IT services and vice versa
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to write and present high level reports and briefings both internally and externally
- Experience of analysing and understanding IT strategies, how they underpin the council’s strategic objectives and how business analysis can assist in maintaining this alignment
- Local authority experience
