Shift Supervisor

You will be familiar with working in a fast paced, busy environment where no two days are the same. You will possess the necessary skills and qualities to ensure the smooth and safe running of all activities and operations across the farm park.

**Park opening hours**:
April-June
- Open weekends only.

July-August
- Open every day.

September-Open weekends only.

October
- Open weekends only (Halloween break
- every day). Supervisors will assist in setting up for Halloween event on weekdays 1-2 weeks prior.

November
- Closed but shift supervisors will assist in set up for Christmas event on some weekdays.

December
- Open weekends for Christmas event, as well as some weekdays closer to Christmas day.

**Skills required**:

- Leadership and management skills.
- Problem solving.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Numeracy and cash handling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong time management skills.
- Diplomatic nature and ability to resolve issues efficiently and professionally.
- Efficiency and ability to identify ways to improve processes and systems.
- Relevant industry knowledge.

**Qualities and experience needed**:

- MUST have previous management/leadership experience (at least 1 year).
- Customer service experience.
- Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assisting management with recruitment, training and continuous staff coaching.
- First point of contact for all staff, customers etc. when supervising.
- Responsible for ensuring seamless operation of all park activities, health and safety and animal welfare during working shifts.
- Reporting to the manager straight away in the instance of emergencies.
- Monitoring stock and supplies, placing orders or unloading orders when necessary.
- Monitor cash floats and end of day till counting.
- Key holder responsibilities.
- Ensuring all areas are open and ready for the day at beginning of shift, end of day ensuring all areas are locked and secured, lights and electrics are off, animals are safe and secure etc.
- Complying with company policies and implementing these in daily running of park.
- Dealing with customer queries or concerns.
- Acting as a team leader, motivating and encouraging the team to provide customers with exceptional customer service whilst maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and health and safety.
- Maintaining consistent communication with the manager, recording and reporting any incidents, staff illness, animal illness or any other issues during your shift.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: From £12.50 per hour
