We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Shops
to join our team in Minehead to ensure our guests have an amazing stay with us
on resort.
About the Role
Reporting to the Resort Director, the Head of Shops
will ensure the smooth planning and delivery or all our retail venues across
the resort.
With an exceptional approach to customer
experience, you will champion our guest experience with your team, ensuring
that every detail of the service our shops provide is thought through. This
will involve working really closely with your team, coaching them to build
confidence in delivering fantastic customer service, up-selling techniques and product
and promotional knowledge.
You will be responsible for 2 supermarkets, our village shop, Megatreats, showtime
studios, nightsales, toybox, Butlins Store and the teddy bear factory with a
total team or around 60. This is a very varied and hands on
role and you will manage all KPIs based on sales and costs.
You should have a passion for leading and
motivating your team, ensuring they are fulfilled in role and have development
plans in place. Guest feedback is also really important to us, and you will
also be responsible for driving and identifying opportunities for feedback
& NPS growth.
About You
We’re looking for a strong leader with a solid
background in retail. This opportunity would be well suited for someone working
at a similar level within the hospitality, hotel, or leisure industry. This
could also be a great step up for the right person looking for the next step in
this area.
Our operation is large and fast paced, so you
should enjoy the buzz of this sort of environment and be confident in
motivating your teams to drive sales and deliver fantastic guest experience.
You should enjoy moving between strategic work one
day and getting stuck in with your team and being on the shop floor working
with your team the next. You should also enjoy spending time with your team,
ensuring that they have development plans in place to fulfil their potential.
Working alongside a team of Heads of Departments,
you should be a great networker and communicator, representing your department during
all operational discussions.
