We have an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Technician L4 (£30,465.00 PA) to join our team based in Irlam, Manchester. **This is a permanent full time position working an average of 42 hours per week 4 on 4 off shift pattern 6:00am-18:00pm. (DAYS)**

**What does this corker of a job entail?**
- Liaising with the planning function to organise daily / weekly bulk delivery slots
- Analysing and assessing bulk on arrival/ offload
- Carrying out steam outs and sterilisation of all equipment
- Becoming proficient in the operation of all machinery on all lines
- Carrying out line change overs, and working with the shift manager regarding line defects and machine faults
- Ensuring all documentation and record systems are maintained to high standards on a daily basis in accordance with ISO 9001:2000
- Monitoring the legality of volume filling on an hourly basis
- Carrying out on-line Quality Control checks to include torque checks, average weights, finished goods inspection
- Ensuring packaging materials are in place and meet specification for all production runs

**Key Ingredients**
- The ability to communicate at all levels
- Two years production experience within a high-speed packaging operation (desirable but not essential)
- Computer literacy
- A proven track record of working as part of a team in a continuous improvement environment
- Experience of working in Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) (desirable but not essential)
- Experience of good manufacturing practice and modern manufacturing techniques
- A good level of literacy and numeracy (to G.C.S.E. equivalent or above)
- Flexibility
- Motivated to learn new skills
- Have great attention to detail
