The Role:
The role of the Industrialisation Team Supervisor is to work with Industrialisation Team to ensure the accuracy of the Job Specification used during production. Ensuring consistency of production at high speed will always be the main focus of the team. Develop the team to be strong enough to challenge the design if they believe consistency in production will be unachievable.

You will work with multiple departments including the Pre-Production, UK Development and Production Quality Technician teams.- You will epitomise Mulberry by living the values.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- You will be a representative of Production at Sealed Sample Sign offs and communicate the expectations to the Implementation and Production Teams. Your duties may include more practical and hands-on tasks.
- Be part of the Production Comments meetings to pass on any info regarding the risks to production. From this meeting you should be able to note any required changes and feed directly back to the Industrialisation Team.
- Help develop a manufacturing plan for new products accounting for; Production start times, complexity of the product, capital investment requirements and also following the Development schedule.
- Challenge the design where necessary to optimise the design for maximum efficiency and consistency of quality through effective manufacturing. Help to reduce cost through early Design and Development involvement.
- Help the Implementation Team in the understanding of specific machinery requirements, process layouts and head-count estimates.
- Utilise the Development prototypes to help optimise the manufacturing planning and manufacturing process.
- Advise in the preparation of product specific manufacturing documentation including; Process Flow, Work Instructions, Cutting, Inking and Stitching procedures.
- Support production through activities such as but not limited to; documentation, jig making and personal training.
- To ensure manufacturing is sustained.
- Perform engineering work related to planning, devising, or adapting methods to improve manufacturing production.
- Examine equipment, processes, operations, and assembly to determine time or quality revisions, and suggest improvements.
- Where necessary investigate operational problems, determine fixes and take corrective action.
- Provide technical expertise and engineering support.
- Investigate opportunities for automation. Research specific equipment solutions and help with proposals to support capital expenditures.
- Always look to implement LEAN principles.
- To work/train the Production Supervisors, Implementation Team and Craftspeople in line layouts and bag assembly techniques.
- During Bulk Sample stage in Development you must empower the Industrialisation Team to challenge the job making specifications and alter it to ensure consistency of quality and efficiency for UK manufacturing.
- To share best practice with the Implementation and Production Teams.
- Overseeing the introduction of new bag styles with consistent quality.
- To implement a plan to produce bags in the most efficient and effective manner.
- To carry out any specific duties as and when required.
