Communications and Media Executive

**What we do**

At Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, we train highly skilled hearing dogs that help deaf people, and a offer a wide range of personalised hearing support services, which together provide emotional and practical help for deaf people.

**What you will be doing**

We are looking for a Communications and Media Executive to join our Hearing Loss Services team to provide support on various communications and content activity that will attract and engage new and existing beneficiaries, and help the department to deliver its service delivery and marketing objective.

Reporting to the External Relationships and Communications Manager, you will work as part of a small busy team on a wide range of internal and public-facing communications that tell the story of our Charity, the deaf people we help and wider deaf sector.

**What you will need to succeed**

Relevant experience in a PR, communications, or marketing role
- A strong grasp on the importance of storytelling, with excellent copywriting and proof-reading skills - equally comfortable writing social media posts, newsletter articles and website/blog content
- Experience in managing photoshoots and supporting the video production process (e.g. organising locations, interviewees, etc).
- A strong understanding of traditional, digital and social media comms channels and platforms and the types of content that works best for each
- The ability to build good working relationships and to put people at ease when their stories are being told
- The ability to prioritise and work proactively under your own initiative, in a changing environment and with tight deadlines
- A keenness to take on a wide range of tasks to support the Charity’s service delivery and marketing activity

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 21 per week

**Salary**: £14,700.00 per year
