Switchboard Operator

An opportunity has arisen for a 1 x Switchboard Operator post at Grantham Hospital fixed term for one year.

Applications are invited from enthusiastic, flexible and highly motivated individuals to join the Estates and Facilities Department’s hospital switchboard team. This high profile role calls for good communication skills and experience of working closely with the general public. You will need to be able to cope calmly and effectively with both routine and emergency situations, and be a compassionate, professional and courteous individual.

This is a varied and interesting post involving liaising with departments in the hospital as well as security, maintenance and other support staff.

These hours involve lone-working throughout the shift and being able to use your initiative is paramount.

These hours will incur enhancements throughout the shifts

Full training will be given and will be undertaken during normal working hours.

The post is based on a 12 week rota;
Night Shift - 10pm - 8am 10 hours per week Friday

There is an opportunity to undertake shifts during the working week to cover annual leave and sickness.

Lincoln Hospital is a thriving university city and with the opening of the new medical school, it provides all major specialties and a 24-hour major accident and emergency service

Louth Hospital is set on the edge of the Wolds and serves the communities of Louth and the local area. It provides day case surgery, outpatients, and x-ray and endoscopy services
