Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital are looking for a motivated Hospital Porter to join our established team. You would be working within the Porters department to ensure a high quality service is provided to meet the expectations of the internal and external customer,using excellent communication skills and a positive approach to customer care.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Move beds with patients to and from the Wards and Theatres
- Move furniture and other items within the hospital as required, and assist with the unloading of heavy deliveries.
- Assist with the delivery and collection of medical gases, change them over in the manifold room when required, and liaise with Pharmacy department regarding stock.
- Remove clinical and general waste from all areas and dispose or store appropriately.
- Operationally maintain the Medical Gas System and rotate cylinder stock.
- Retrieval and delivery of Medical Records.
- To collect and transport equipment to and from Spire Cambridge Lea
- To collect and transport bloods and specimens to and from the Pathology Laboratory, and between other external associated sites, following due safety processes.
- To collect and transport mail, notes, equipment and any other requested items between Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital, and other external associated sites.
- Keep car park and grounds clear of litter and properly swept, particularly around the main entrance.

**Who we're looking for**
- Hold a full UK driving license.
- Experience in a customer facing environment/role
- Excellent communication and social skills and an open, friendly nature.
- Able to lift heavy items and manoeuvre patient beds/trolleys.
