Purchasing Officer

**Responsibilities**:
- Assist with the procurement of goods and services for the organization
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and delivery information
- Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing and terms of agreements
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment
- Coordinate with various departments to understand their purchasing needs
- Utilize systems such as Oracle EBS to process purchase orders and track shipments
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities
- Support the supply chain and logistics team in optimizing procurement processes
**Skills Required**:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate supplier options and make informed decisions
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favourable pricing and terms
- Proficiency in using systems like Oracle EBS or similar purchasing software
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate record keeping and order processing
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices
**Criteria**:
- Previous procurement experience and strong ability in supplier management
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Forward thinking with forecasting experience
- Proactive approach to problem solving
- Confident in using computer software such as Microsoft programmes
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £27,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
