**Background**:
- Kane Engineering’s primary business activity is the design & manufacture/ assembly of low voltage electrical switchboards & control panels. The company’s products are supplied into the construction sector throughout the UK & Ireland.
**Main duties**:
- Assembly of switchboard modular steelwork
- Assembly & installation of busbars (including cutting, bending & punching of copper bar)
- Installation & wiring of electrical power components (e.g. circuit breakers & fuse-switches)
- Electrical connection of components using solid copper busbar, flexible laminated busbar, and PVC cable.
- Installation & wiring of control equipment into switchboards (e.g. contactors, relays, timers)
- Associated activities including drilling and fixing of shrouding & engraved labels, preparing panels for factory-test & wrapping for despatch to customer.

**Hours of work**: Total 39 hours per week.
Monday-Thursday 8.00am - 5.00pm
Friday 8.00am - 1.00pm
(Lunch-time - 30mins 1.00-1.30pm)
**Holiday entitlement**: 29 days per year, inclusive of statutory days.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship
**Salary**: £5.30-£8.90 per hour
