We are looking for a **Principal Consultant HAZOP Facilitator **to join our Risk Management Consulting team located in either Westhill, Aberdeenshire or Manchester. Our Risk Management Consulting team helps our clients to manage and reduce risk across their complex operations.

In the role of **Principal Consultant HAZOP Facilitator **you will:

- Contribute to the development of our Digital HAZOP Software (HAZOP Assistant) and lead the delivery of digital HAZOPs to support the design of new facilities and existing operations.
- Facilitate CLIENT process safety and operability review workshops such as HAZID, HAZOP, digital HAZOP, SIL, BowTie, FMEA, alarm management, SIMOPS, etc.
- Identify Major Accident Hazards (MAH), Major Accident Events (MAEs) and Safety and Environmental Critical Elements (SECEs) and develop Performance Standards.
- Lead risk assessments, Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRAs) for both Onshore and Offshore industry.
- Lead fire and explosion safety and structural integrity studies, as well as ESSA & EERA.
- Manage consequence modelling (2D and/or 3D modelling) studies.
- Manage Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) studies.
- Provide consultancy around the areas of PSM & HSE Management Systems, Emergency Preparedness and Emergency Response Plans.
- Lead barrier management studies with our digital tools.
- Perform third-party verifications/audits.

To be successful in the role of **Principal Consultant HAZOP Facilitator **we are looking for you to have:

- A master's degree within engineering or related e.g., chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, process/risk management.
- Significant relevant experience within oil and gas, (petro)chemicals or the energy industry.
- Consulting, engineering, or operator experience within oil and gas, (petro)chemicals or the energy industry, preferably in process engineering or process safety roles.
- Advanced understanding of process safety and risk management activities related to greenfield and brownfield projects.
- Significant experience in functional safety including HAZOP, SIL, FMEA, Bowtie and alarm management facilitation.
- An excellent understanding of regulatory requirements and relevant standards, including Onshore Safety (Seveso / COMAH), Offshore Safety.
- Practical experience in developing and implementing Safety Management Systems and Emergency Response Plans will also be a plus.
- Knowledge and experience in green Hydrogen and Ammonia facilities and in offshore oil and gas is a plus.
- The ability to travel for project delivery.
- An ability to nurture younger consultants and work well in a team.
- Process simulation and digital twin experience would be a plus.
