Driving Instructor

Elite Gears Driving School is a reputable driving school dedicated to providing comprehensive driver education and promoting safe driving practices. We are currently seeking passionate individuals to join our team as Driving Instructors.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Teaching Driving Skills**: Instruct students on safe driving practices, including vehicle operation, defensive driving techniques, and adherence to traffic laws.
- **Theory Instruction**: Deliver engaging classroom instruction on traffic rules, road signs, and other theoretical aspects of driving to ensure students have a solid understanding of driving principles.
- **Demonstrating Maneuvers**: Demonstrate various driving maneuvers such as parallel parking, lane changes, and merging onto highways, utilizing diagrams, videos, and practical demonstrations.
- **Providing Feedback**: Observe students' driving behaviors, provide constructive feedback, correct mistakes, and reinforce good driving habits during lessons.
- **Developing Lesson Plans**: Tailor lesson plans to meet the individual needs and skill levels of students, covering a range of topics from basic vehicle operation to advanced driving techniques.
- **Ensuring Safety**: Emphasize and enforce safety procedures, including the proper use of seat belts, mirrors, and adherence to traffic laws, to create a safe learning environment for students.
- **Administering Tests**: Conduct written or practical driving tests to assess students' knowledge and skills, and prepare students for official driving exams required for licensure.
- **Maintaining Records**: Keep accurate records of student progress, attendance, lesson plans, performance evaluations, and certifications to track development and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- **Customer Service**: Provide excellent customer service by addressing student inquiries, offering guidance, and fostering positive relationships with students and their families throughout the learning process.
- **Continuing Education**: Stay updated on changes in traffic laws, driving regulations, and teaching methods through participation in continuing education programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

**Qualifications & Requirements**:

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Certified driving instructor license (NOT NECESSARY)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, supportive, and adaptable teaching style
- Commitment to promoting safe driving practices
- Ownership of own vehicle or able to rent dual control vehicle.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £50,000.00-£80,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 20 - 50 per week
