**Overview**:
First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic business who are looking to recruit an Aviation Auditor on a permanent basis due to growth based at their Staverton (Gloucestershire) depot.

The Aviation Auditor (Airworthiness) is responsible to the Compliance Monitoring Manager (CMM) / Quality Manager (QM) for the oversight of the Compliance Monitoirng PLAN set in place for the applicable aviation regulations, customer requirements and other standards as applicable at each of the organisation’s facilities primarily in regards to Aircraft Engineering and Continuing Airworthiness activities on-site and at 20+ Bases.

This role shall deputise for the CMM in all Parts as necessary and required including Maintenance and Engineering, the Part-21 Design and Production Organisations and will take an active interest in Part-ORA ATO & FSTD supporting the Company activities.

The role is based at Staverton although travel to all locations including contracted and sub-contracted organisations will be required to support the PLAN.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Assisting the Compliance Monitoring Manager in the development of Compliance Monitoring Programmes (CMP) used in each Certificate of Approval and the regular reviews of the CMP with supervisors and stakeholders to continuously monitor the performance to the standards expected of the aviation regulators and exceeding expectations where possible;
- Implementation of agreed audit programmes in which all Maintenance and Engineering, Flight Training, FSTD Operations (and Design and Production Approvals) procedures are reviewed at regular intervals in relation to each type of aircraft operated and maintained and to bring any non-conformance or poor standards to the attention of the person concerned;
- Managing effective QACM function records according to the Audit Management System; Synergi Life;
- Manage one’s own output in programmed Audits ensuring effective and timely closure of any Findings raised, monitoring at all times for developing trends within audits and audit output in the department;
- Assessing contracted organisations, contractors and sub-contractors working under the quality systems and maintaining the expertise necessary to be able to do so, maintain as an internal partner with a centralised Procurement function, an adequate Supplier Control System;
- Though employed with SME interest in Maintenance and Engineering activities, be fully engaged in cross
- training, experience and deployment in Air Operations including the AOC, etc.;
- Authorised by the Quality Assurance and Compliance Monitoring Systems, be a key partner in the department for the issue of Engineer Authorisations and Limited Pilot Authorisations;
- Authorised by the Quality Assurance and Compliance Monitoring Systems, be fully engaging in supporting Airworthiness Reviews, Variations in Approved Maintenance Programmes and other activities to support aircraft availability;
- Being an advocate of Quality and Compliance strategy in all Business Units maintaining and keeping up-to
- date with industry best practice;
- Alongside the Compliance Monitoring Manager and department supervisors, being a go-to Subject-Matter
- Expert in the aviation regulations that support operations, actively promoting Regulatory Awareness through delivering training initiatives in partnership and cooperation with the BU Responsible Managers, liaising with the regulators and other external bodies providing oversight to activities as necessary;
- On behalf of the Compliance Monitoring Manager and supporting as required, offer full assistance and preparation for, during and after, External Audits of any origin including the Regulator, Certification Bodies and Customers and Clients;
- Be an ambassador for Change in the business units fully supporting the Change Management process;
- Such other duties as required by the CM for the successful running of the department including support to the Quality Assurance Engineer in the Pilot and Engineer authorisation processes;
- Participate in all Company internal Training opportunities, Regulatory Awareness, Safety briefings, etc.; and ensure Company health, safety and environmental procedures are implemented and complied with at all times.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- 5 Years’ Experience in a similar role
- Aviation Experience in an Initial and Continuing Airworthiness (Part-145, Part-M, Part-CAMO, Part-21 G & J) Environment
- Rotary Experience as a Part-66 AML
- SME knowledge of the Aviation Regulatory Frameworks including Operations, Design & Production
- Lead Auditor Training
- Previous Audit exposure in a CM environment (CMM, Senior Auditor)
- SC Cleared
