Wrap This Way is a small business in Newark-on-Trent. We are fun, sociable, fast-paced, and our goal is to wrap a good tasty wrap.

We love a good pun and we also love wraps. So be warned, fellow wrappers it's a wrap battle of flavours, fillings and fantastic sides. All freshly prepared. Our Wrap Artists will wrap it up right in front of you.

We serve delicious tortillas based on our signature 10 hour smoked pulled pork and vegan/ vegetarian options as well as other tasty treats. We trade from an attractive, quirky, specially converted Horse Box at festivals and events in the East Midlands.

We're looking for a Catering Assistant / Wrap Artist who is reliable, energetic person (persons) to join our team and work in our attractive, quirky, specially converted Wrap HQ Horse Box at events / festivals over the summer as an Assistant to our Wrapmeister, Alex Rollitt. Minimum age 16 years.

Our events are located in the East Midlands and they are usually weekends. We have some dates confirmed already for the summer and more to come throught this year.

As long as you are available for some weekends and the occasional weekday we are interested in talking to you. More dates will no doubt be added over the next few weeks.

There’s no such thing as a typical day but an all-day shift might be from 8 - 12 hours. The rate of pay is £8 - £10.50 per hour depending on age (including travelling) and transport to events will be provided.

Full training will also be provided (so no experience necessary); just a positive, energetic and cheerful disposition and love a good pun

You will **greet and serve customers, help prepare their food, maintain food safety and sanitation standards, and handle and process light paperwork**. Exceptional customer service and a smile is a major component of this position.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare food neatly, accurately, and in a timely way
- Demonstrate a complete understanding of menu items and explain it to customers accurately
- Exhibit a cheerful and helpful manner when dealing with all customers
- Checks products in catering unit area and restock items to ensure a sufficient supply throughout the shift
- Clean as directed
- Greets customers and prepare their orders, use Point of Sale system/cash register to record the order and compute the amount of the bill, collect payment from customers and makes change
- Understands and adhere to all quality standards, formulas and procedures as outlined in the Wrap This Way Operations Manual
- Understand and adhere to proper food handling, safety and sanitisation standards while preparing food, serving food, and clean up
- Maintain professional appearance and grooming standards as outlined in the Wrap This Way Operations Manual
- Perform light paperwork duties as assigned
- Complete training will be given, we will require you to complete a Food Hygiene and Safety for Catering Level 2 before you start (training for this will be provided by Wrap This Way)
- Retail/customer service skills desirable
- Ability to understand and implement written and verbal instruction
- Good standard of literacy and numeracy
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients, and staff at all levels
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to achieve and set standards and operate to performance criteria, with particular regard to hygiene.
