**WHAT TO EXPECT**

JLR's compliance with Export Controls & Sanctions Laws and Regulations is central to its ability to meet the requirements of its key stakeholders. You will be a critical part of the team, directly supporting the development of our Autonomous, Connected, Electric and Shared future to ensure we have robust compliance with our Export Controls & Sanctions obligations.
In your role as a Export Controls & Sanctions Licence Compliance Engineer you will be expected to take a lead role to drive the Export Controls & Sanctions Compliance in Engineering. You will be comfortable in working across different teams including outsourced partners and suppliers.
You will deal with day-to-day issues of exporting products, software and/or technology (Items), in accordance with all applicable Laws & Regulations, JLR Corporate Policy and the Group Export Controls & Sanctions Compliance Programme
This role would suit someone who has experience of automotive Engineering with a Hardware or Software background looking for a move into an Export Controls & Sanctions Compliance Engineer role.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Own the Export Controls & Sanctions artefacts for Products, Software or Technology across all JLR vehicle lines.
- Work closely with the Group Export Controls & Sanctions Compliance team to ensure alignment on processes, methods and tools.
- Liaise with engineers to ensure Export Controls & Sanctions engineering risks are understood.
- Liaise with engineers to ensure training and support material are available.
- Management of Export Controls Risk Assessment Processes across vehicle lines.
- Share Export Controls & Sanctions risk outcomes from the 1st line of Defence viewpoint for governance.
- Helping project teams to liaise with preferred suppliers on Export Controls & Sanctions queries.
- Collect, analyse, prepare and share reports required for senior management and other relevant stakeholders.

**WHAT YOU'LL NEED**

Essential:

- Knowledge of working to vehicle programme timelines.
- Ability to prioritise tasks in order to drive effective cross functional initiatives.
- Proven experience and track record of delivery in a software or hardware engineering role.
- Understanding of Systems Engineering Principals, and Requirements development (TRM/XRAY).
- An ability to think analytically, rigorously and creatively with a commitment to quality and outstanding results.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to confer complex technical and procedural topics in a clear and concise form, confidently presenting to stakeholders.
- Experience leading Engineers from outsourced partners and suppliers.
- Experience of working in an agile organisation.
