**Senior Procurement Subcontract Manager**

Are you passionate about managing critical supplier subcontracts? Do you have experience of providing commercial guidance and would love the opportunity to work collaboratively with international suppliers?
As a Procurement Subcontract Specialist for Major Equipment Procurement (MEP), you will partner with suppliers around the world and enable the business to provide world-leading defence capabilities for our Home Nations and their Allies.
You will lead subcontracts and obligations across the entire life cycle of missiles and missile systems, project manage the on-time, on-cost, on-quality delivery of high value and sophisticated sub-systems, provide commercial guidance to internal customersand manage risk and opportunity to safeguard the interests of the business.
MEP provides a collaborative, team-focused environment where multitasking is a key skill. This is a really key role, and we need people who can help us be successful by taking requirements and problem solving with tangible solutions. There will be ample opportunitiesfor you to develop within the MEP team and across the wider procurement business. You will be required to travel to our suppliers in the UK, Europe and potentially internationally.
**Key aspects of the role involve**:

- Creating a clear vision for the team and Procurement Strategy.
- Providing Commercial/Contractual advice, guidance (including advice on export control, Offset, Industrial Participation and Intellectual Property) and support to team members and internal customers.
- Synthesise multiple, often complex inputs to establish direction and sustain value-added activities.
- Lead a team (typically 3 to 5) to ensure they are effectively directed at achievement of company and project objectives.
- Managing major supplier relationships and lead negotiations across platforms and programmes.
- Provide advice and guidance on high-risk suppliers to Senior Management.

- Strong experience in Subcontract Management
- Ability to negotiate and knowledge of terms and conditions
- Demonstrable evidence of innovation and implementation of best practice
- Problem solving in an exciting commercial environment
- Reporting and co-operation with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to influence and manage multiple relationships
- Analysing situations and be adept at understanding and presenting different possibilities, balancing risk
- Team management/leadership experience

**Overview**:
**Position - Senior Procurement Subcontract Manager - Permanent**
**Location - Stevenage / Bristol**
**Salary - £50k - £60k (please ask about the bonus scheme)**

Due to the nature of work undertaken at our client's site, incumbents of these positions are required to meet special nationality rules and therefore these vacancies are only open to sole British Citizens.
