**Ships Agent**

**Pentagon Freight Services ** are looking for an experienced Ships Agent to coordinate our day to day operations in our Newcastle area.

**Responsibilities**:

- Liaise with Owners and Charterers agency before, during and after vessel port calls, in particular working with tankers, offshore support vessels and dry bulk cargo
- Completing documentation on arrival with Captain/Senior Crew - inward/outward clearance, CERS3, Statement of Facts, Notice of Readiness, Bill of Lading
- Liaising with harbour office, berth operators, customs, immigration etc
- Coordination of vessel de/mobilisation services including procurement/arrangement of plant hire, welfare facilities, mobile cranes, surveys, transport, storage, ships stores and spare parts
- Crew change arrangements including transport, accommodation and immigration documentations
- Coordinate with CTVs/workboats for offshore transfer of personnel and stores
- Liaise with internal departments providing customs clearance, transport, forwarding and warehousing
- Create and submit estimated proforma disbursement accounts
- Acting as the face of the company when boarding vessels
- Previous experience as ships agent/shipping industry
- Ability to work out of normal office hours and board vessels when required
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Good IT skills
- Clean driving license
- Good team player
- Previous offshore experience would be desirable
