If you’re an experienced Technical Buyer based in or around Alton, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join this leading manufacturing company Waiting for you are a salary up to 35k, 23 days holiday plus bank holidays, life cover, on-site parking, and the chance to work with a successful and expanding company

We are looking for a highly technically and practically minded Technical Buyer with an Engineering background to join our client’s Buying team and manage the link between the business’ engineering design department and the company’s global suppliers. This is a pivotal role within the business that handles the research, development, expansion and management of the business’ global supply chain and improves the use of the business’s ERP system.

As the Technical Buyer, you will benefit from:

- Salary 28 - 35k depending on experience
- Monday to Thursday 8:00-16:30 (30 minutes for lunch) and 08:00 - 13:30 on Fridays
- Hybrid working with Fridays at home
- 23 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Free on-site parking
- Excellent transport links and location within walking distance from the train station

As the Technical Buyer, you will significantly impact the business by:

- Reviewing Engineering Drawings and technical specifications
- Liaising with the Engineering and Design teams to source and choose Engineering modules, components, services, and assemblies
- Sending RFOs to suppliers and analysing responses
- Maintaining KPIs of supplier performance
