Head of Electrical Equipment

**Hybrid working pattern**: Where possible, we will seek to accommodate a blended approach to on-site and remote working **-** such as 2-3 days working from home
Your role will involve:
- Line managing a delegated budget and a team of approximately x7 Engineering Work Package Managers, including delegating budgets and work packages
- Working with a hugely broad range of internal and external supplier, supported by various other MBDA (UK) functions (Procurement, Commercial, Business & Performance, etc.)
- Reviewing supplier project plans, ensuring realism in their ability to deliver on their commitments to MBDA (UK)
- Partner a breadth of internal customers including Manufacturing, Technical Excellence, Safety, Systems, Mechanical / Electronic Engineering
- Ensure all of the Mechanical Equipments follow the MBDA (UK) Lifecycle process and BMS requirements
- Reporting progress to the wider project, including the Chief Design Engineer /Chief Engineer
- Partner Business and Performance & Project Control colleagues to ensure programmatic elements are accurately reported
- Identifying and raising issues in a timely manner, working proactively for quick resolutions with mínimal impact
- Working with internal functions to manage your teams' mix of numbers, skills and experience to deliver the assigned work packages
This is a highly visible role within the SPEAR programme, which will require a confident range of technical, programme and people leadership skills. As such, it would offer an ideal development path for someone wanting to work towards a Chief Design Engineerposition in their future career.
You will be co-located within the project team at Stevenage and will report daily to the SPEAR Chief Design Engineer. Functional support will be provided by Head of Electrical Missile Architecture.

- Capability to travel in the UK/Europe/US/etc. on a regular basis when required
