Stores Person

We are a family run hot water cylinder manufacturer based in Dukinfield East Manchester seeking and goods inward receiver / store person to join our growing team.

**Main Duties**:
To generally assist the purchasing and production managers in stock control within the business to ensure we do not run out of critical materials for producing our products.

Creation of purchase orders and recording goods inwards using SAGE software. Ensure check to verify stock levels for re-ordering are accurate and appropriate.

To take delivery of goods delivered with the use of forklifts where required. Ensure that goods are checked off in an accurate and timely manner and check for damages and quantity. Update SAGE system to ensure accurate stock levels.

Put materials away in correct location after deliveries in a First in First Out order.

To pick materials and put them into kit form ready for production staff.

Assist with stock checks where required.

Keep stores areas clean and tidy.

Log scrap metal weights prior to collection by the scrap metal merchant.

**KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE**

Experience of working in a similar role, involving work in stores and yard
responsibilities for a minimum of two years, or equivalent experience.

A knowledge of good practice relating to Health and Safety Regulations

**SKILLS - Essential**

A good knowledge and recognition of building materials is essential.

A full driving licence as you may be required to collect goods.

Computer literate and knowledge of stock systems.

Good listener and team player.

Methodical and organised and able to work on own initiative.

A Forklift licence (Desirable)
