**Actual Salary from: £28,000 - £43,685 + SEN Allowance**

**The Role**

**Some of your key responsibilities will be**:

- To support the identification of and disseminate the most effective teaching approaches for individual pupils with SEND.
- To work with staff to develop effective ways of bridging barriers to learning through: assessment of needs, monitoring of teaching quality and pupil achievement, target setting, One Plans and Provision Mapping.
- To undertake day-to-day co-ordination of SEN pupils' provisions through close liaison with staff, parents and external agencies.
- To ensure that the school carries out its statutory responsibilities regarding all students with an Education, Health and Care Plan and those on the SEND register.

**We're looking for you if you have**:

- Qualified Teacher status with 5 years or more teaching experience;
- Thorough knowledge of the current SEND Code of Practice;
- The ability to lead staff in developing their knowledge and expertise in working with SEND children;
- Experience in working with pupils with a range of different abilities and needs: SEND, CIC, EAL, disadvantaged and vulnerable;
- The ability to work effectively with the Headteacher and SLT to achieve excellence in outcomes for all pupils;
- Clear understanding of provision mapping, early identification of children with SEND needs, assessment tools and successful interventions to drive progress;
- Excellent communication skills with all members of the school community;
- Excellent organisational skills;
- The necessary communication skills and knowledge of SEND practice, enabling effective liaison with a variety of external agencies.
