Murray McIntosh are delighted to be working with a long-established not for profit which specialises in bringing together experts and policy makers with the aim of ensuring a sustainable and inclusive society.

They are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Senior Policy Advisor to join their team and work on matters which bring together health, technology, science and society.

As the Senior Policy Advisor, you will report to the Director of Policy and lead the delivery of an important, forward-thinking programme focusing on a variety of policies including but not limited to technology, health and national calamities. This rolewill be well suited to someone with a passion for interest in health technology, science and societal challenges.

In this role, key responsibilities will include:

- Leadership and strategy
- Programme management and oversight
- Stakeholder management and external engagement
- Line management responsibility for three team members
- Acting as a key representative at key meetings, conferences and similar, and supporting senior team members where required.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Excellent knowledge of policy development coupled with enthusiasm for medical or health technology, and/or societal shocks, security risks and national disasters (such as the Pandemic) and how it impacts society
- Strong understanding of parliamentary processes and governmental structure
- Ability to leverage networks across a diverse range of stakeholders
- Strong research and analytical skills, and confidence in gathering evidence and presenting findings
- Line management experience
- Excellent written/ verbal communication skills
