High-growth SME requires a Senior Buyer to lead their procurement activity. Applicants need procurement experience within manufacturing or engineering, understand MRP functionality and be capable of operational and strategic tasks.

This is a stand-alone procurement role. The Senior Buyer however, will have access to administrative support. The Senior Buyer will be charged with leading all procurement activities and commercial conversations with suppliers. As the business continues to grow, the need for a professional Buyer or Senior Buyer has arisen.

Specific duties of the Senior Buyer include:

- Introduce and embed procurement processes. Improve how procurement works internally and externally
- Managing exiting supply chain partners, while also exploring new sources of supply
- Develop and communicate procurement strategy to the business
- Supplier negotiation
- Operational supply chain management - PO process, drive suppliers against OTD/OTIF

Senior Buyer applicants should meet following criteria:

- Experience as a Buyer, Purchasing Manager, Procurement Manager or Senior Buyer
- Experience within a manufacturing or engineering business
- Able to confidently interact with senior management and technical stakeholders
- MRP/ERP literacy
- Ability to function in a growing business
