**Purpose of Role**:
Provides robust Marine Personnel resource operational advice, support and coaching as required to both ship-based mangers and crew and to shore based managers throughout the employee life cycle from recruitment through to termination. Provide assistanceinto all marine personnel matters within the marine personnel department. Ensure compliance with company policies and MLC 2006 regulations and maintains relationships with all hiring partners. In conjunction with the Head of Quality and Resources provide strategicsupport to the development of the Marine Personnel function.

- **Recruitment, Resourcing and New hire orientation**:

- **Management of employment cycle and employee relations**:

- **Policy Interpretation and development**:

- **Marine Personnel Management Information**:

- **Internal and external collaboration**:

- **Other Duties**:

- Works on specific Marine Personnel projects as required by Head of Quality and Resources or Technical Department
- Applies project management tools and approaches within the organisation
- Works flexibly to ensure departmental KPI / deadlines and standards are met

**About you**:
**Education & Qualifications**
- Crewing Management or equivalent qualification
- First Degree educated in a relevant management field or equivalent

**Specialist Knowledge & Skills**
- Strong working knowledge of maritime law (MLC 2006) and Human Resource best practice standards
- Ability to use software to analyse data and produce appropriate records.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, OCS

**Relevant experience**
- A Marine background with experience of working within the Cruise and/or Shipping Industry
- Cruise Ship experience.
- Experience in marine personnel shore side management
- Proven experience of recruitment
- Proven experience of writing and implementing policies

**Interpersonal & Communication skills**
- Proven ability and confidence to work autonomously or with mínimal supervision
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-motivated, diplomatic and influential
- Tact, integrity and ability to deal with difficult situations
- Ability to deal with staff at all levels
- Excellent organisation and time management
- A natural 'completer/finisher and a team player
