Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a fixed term post for two years which is also available as a secondment opportunity for staff from across the Wiltshire FACT partnership to join the Family Help project as a Family Help Practitioner.

**About the role**

As a Family Help Practitioner, you will be attached to a local cluster of schools/settings but wherever possible will work in family homes, attending at times when family functioning becomes stressed including after school and in the immediate period before bed, taking a whole family approach to routine, positive behaviour support and wider parenting issues.

Family Help Practitioners will be an integral part of the formal FACT Family Help pilot activity in Warminster and Westbury. We will seek out and identify learning at key stages through this pilot period and, where the partnership agrees it is appropriate, share the learning across the whole system for potential implementation during the two-year period.

This post offers an exciting opportunity to play a key operational role in this multi-agency development and is an excellent chance to widen your experience in face to face delivery work and develop your skills in partnership and multiagency working.

**About you**

You will be an experienced practitioner with a strong commitment to doing ‘whatever it takes’ to help a family overcome the barriers they face. Your track record will demonstrate tenacity and creativity when it comes to securing engagement and enabling change.

You will need to be passionate about this agenda and show insight into what matters for children, young people and families in the context of Early Help. You will want to ensure their voices are at the heart of everything you do and to make a positive difference to their life chances.

We will look to you to creative and solutions-focussed in your approach and able to evidence a commitment to improving ways of working to achieve the best possible outcomes.

You will be able to evidence examples of where you have engaged positively in multi-agency working with families to ensure that packages of support are co-ordinated and effective, making the best use of the skills, experience and professional background of a diverse range of partners.
