**VACANCY FOR TEACHING ASSISTANT AT SOMERSHAM PRIMARY SCHOOL**

**Required as soon as possible - Level 2 Teaching Assistant**

**This is a term-time only post - 38 weeks per year**

**32.5 hours per week: Monday to Friday** **- core school hours**

**This is a permanent role**

**Salary: Meridian Trust Support Staff - Grade 5, Points 5 - 7**

**Actual Salary: £15,889 - £16,474 (Full-time Salary: £21,575 - £22,369)**

**(salary is pro-rata as this is a part-time appointment)**

We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity to work as a Teaching Assistant at Somersham Primary School. This is a varied and fulfilling role where you will be making a difference to the children’s learning and their progress. You will be part of a friendly and supportive team supporting children on a one-to-one basis and within small groups. The role will also include supporting in the classroom and assisting in the teaching resources and classroom displays. You will be responsible to the SENDCo/Headteacher.

- Willingness to undertake training e.g. first aid training
- An understanding of child protection and safeguarding issues
