Gardener/handyman

1. **Purpose.**

Maintain domestic garden and work yard areas to a high standard and carry out general maintenance tasks.

2. **Responsibilities.**
- Work effectively as part of a team;
- Be able to work safely and maintain health and safety standards within your working area;
- Maintain allocated equipment, e.g., basic hand tools, personal protective equipment, etc;
- Undertaking other duties as necessary to supplement or balance the services provided by the company.

3. **Scope**.
- Maintain a domestic garden and work area.
- Maintain high standards of good housekeeping.
- Various ground maintenance tasks.
- Other yard duties, including painting and general maintenance of outbuildings, etc.

4. **Relationships.**
- Team members, Line management.

5. **Qualifications.**
- Experience of gardening and general maintenance.
- Clean UK Drivers Licence.

6. **Experience.**
- General gardening and maintenance;
- Using machinery, such as lawn mowers and hedge trimmers;
- Looking after the appearance of plants and the surrounding landscape;
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment.

7. **Technical/ Professional Know-how**
- Ability to undertake a range of practical tasks.
- Knowledge of health and safety.
- Ability to work outdoors in all UK weather conditions.
- To work well as part of a small team/independently.
- To be able to communicate effectively.
- Self-motivated.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 35 per week

**Salary**: £12.05 per hour
