Estate Gardener

**Our client is looking to recruit an stand alone Estate Gardener to join their friendly team. The job comes with a 2/3 bedroom detatched house.**

Based just 20 minutes south of Inverness on a privately owned Estate

The garden grounds include formal lawns, herbaceous borders, walled kitchen garden, large greenhouse, polytunnel, tennis court and dell area. There is also the garden and surroundings of a nearby holiday let to maintain.

**Outline of Key Responsibilities**:

- To maintain gardens and grounds to a high standard throughout the year.
- Produce vegetables, fruit and cut flowers for the household.
- Propagate plants for border planting and pot displays.
- To carry out any other reasonable duties and small odd jobs as specified by the Principals.
- To coordinate and supervise any contractors whilst working in the property grounds.
- Possess a good plant knowledge and high horticultural skills.
- Excellent timekeeping, flexibility and attention to detail.
- Must work well as part of an estate team and be able to liaise well with other estate staff and others on the Estate.
- Ability to work unsupervised and on own initiative.
- A good level of health and fitness and a positive disposition.
- Take pride in their work.
- Discretion at all times and a respectful attitude towards the Principals and their property.
- Clean driving licence.

**The Terms of Employment**:

- Hours: Monday > Friday 8am - 5pm

(Due to the nature of the role and weather dependency flexibility will be required over the above hours, there will be evening & weekend work including harvesting of fruit & vegetables when ready and summer watering during dry spells.)
- Accommodation: Live-in or Live-out.
- If Live-in: Unfurnished 2 - 3 bedroom detached cottage available with own garden and driveway available; Council Tax included, remainder of utilities unpaid.

**Salary**: £33,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
