Humberside Police are currently recruiting for an ANPR Operator to join the team within our Force Control Room

This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved in specialist Policing operations both on a local and national level. The automatic number plate technology is used to aid the detection, deterrent and disruption of criminal activity, such as terrorism, organised crime groups, and criminals moving between Force lines. In this role, you can make a real difference to the safety of the public.

Accuracy in this role is key, as you will be ensuring appropriate audit trails in databases are kept, which will be used both internally and by partner agencies/Police Forces. A keen eye for detail is also important as you will be required complete analytical searches to assist with the detection and prevention of major and serious crime. As a member of Humberside Police, you will be expected to complete your work with the highest discretion, complying with guidelines and data protection acts.

**What is required?**
- Literate and numerate, educated to GCSE level.
- Experience of office clerical/administration work.
- Experience of undertaking research.
- Experience in the use of telephone and radio equipment.
- Must pass audio metric test
- Computer literate including experience of using databases and inputting data.
- Excellent communication skills in order to relay clear, concise instructions to callers and colleagues, including well-developed listening skills and questioning techniques.
- Demonstrates the ability to complete tasks accurately and to specified deadlines.
- The ability to take control of a situation and deal in an effective manner.
- Ability to prioritise and able to direct resources based on a risk and importance.
