We’re looking for a Senior Commercial Key Account Handler, to work for an Independent Broker offering high quality, specialist products to Personal and Commercial clients throughout the UK. Our client has sustained one of the highest customer satisfaction and retention rates within the industry by focusing on the precise needs of their clients.

As an experienced Senior Commercial Account Handler this is a rare opportunity to join their highly established and thriving team based in Kent.

**Your Skills, Experience and Qualifications**:

- Minimum 5 years Commercial Insurance Experience (Broker or Insurer)
- Experience working as a Commercial Account Handler ideally handling mid-market and large commercial/corporate accounts
- Good all-round commercial insurance experience with technical knowledge across a range of classes of business
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal
- The ability to work alone or as part of a team
- Have a strong and current technical knowledge of:

- Commercial Combined
- Combined Liability
- Property Owners
- Contractors All Risk Covers
- Professional Indemnity
- Management Liability
- Cyber Liability
- SME Package Business

**Principle duties and key tasks**:
This is not an exhaustive list and depending on your agreed career path these duties may change.
- Working alongside Account Executives to retain and generate new business, in line with or in excess of, company targets.
- Obtaining new business/renewal terms, negotiating and closing with Insurers
- Create documents for new customers, along with any mid-term adjustments and renewals information too.
- Ensure all customer details are recorded accurately and entered onto system in a timely fashion.
- Checking policy documents, covers, endorsements etc. to ensure that they are correct and in line with the customer’s needs.
- Attending customer meetings and preparing meeting minutes working on all aspects of account management and service delivery to customers, ensuring customers’ needs are identified and met in line with agreed service standards.
- Manage all day-to-day queries, renewals, amendments and mid-term adjustments Build and maintain relationships with customers, prospects, teams and insurers to provide best in class service and drive growth.
- Sharing ideas to develop our proposition at a senior level and impact change across junior members of the team.
- Mentoring less experienced colleagues to develop and rive high standards

**Training and Development**:
Their focus is heavily on training and development and a full induction and training plan will be provided to successful applicants.

Each placement provides employees to continuously develop their knowledge and personal skills which could result in opportunities in other areas of the business.

All staff can study for professional qualifications such as CII (Chartered Insurance Institute). We will encourage further professional development to reach DIP status.

You will enjoy a great work-life balance and life does not always fit into the box of "9 - 5.30 at the office".

Their offices are open Monday - Thursday 8am - 6.30pm and Friday 8am - 5.30pm. A flexible working approach can be discussed.

If you are working remotely, they will provide any equipment you will need to do your job.

All new starters will have a full 6-8 week training plan designed to give a full overview of their role, department and the business.

They will support and fund professional qualifications such as CERT CII. You will be awarded with a £500 pay increase with each successful passed module (total of 3) with a £500 bonus on completion.

**Salary**: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
