We are currently recruiting for a Wealth Management firm in London who are looking to recruit an Investment Platform Services Dealing Assistant to join their team.

**Purpose**

Support the Investment Platform team in the management of client assets, working as an integral member of the team. Primary responsibilities of the team include:

- Assisting in maintaining client portfolios in-line with their associated model(s)
- Trade order generation/allocation
- Execution of client trades
- Assisting the IPS Dealing Supervisor and IPS Manager in the coordination of day-to-day IPSworkflows
- Generation of MI
- Understand workflows for risks and ensure risk is mitigated where possible (so as to aim to reduce to zero with the understanding matters will arise in the workflow periodically)
- Ensuring adherence with the controls in place for compliance with the regulatory framework
- Maintaining spreadsheets and VBA and implementing further coding where efficiencies and risk reduction can be achieved.

**Nature and Scope**
- Carries out foreign currency trades electronically as and when required, providing the necessary supporting documentation.
- Carries out Unit Trust transactions (via Calastone, phone and fax) and enters the deals onto the portfolio management system (IRESS Symphony) upon receipt of deal confirmation from counterparty.
- Carries out stock and bond transactions via electronic trading platforms or directly through broker.
- Works alongside IPS Manager in periodic workflow mapping and risk assessments with the IPS Dealing Supervisor. Risk assessments are defined as the IPS Dealing
- Assistant’s workflow and the aim is to reduce risk to zero with the understanding matters will arise in the workflow periodically.
- Shared ownership of recording risk in the risk log with the IPS Dealing Supervisor.
- Prepares/checks performance attribution, ad-hoc valuations and other client data/documentation for the Management Board and other corporate purposes.
- Assists the team with the capital gains tax packs.
- Supports the wider IPS team for valuation production and valuation audit.
- Provides support to the IPS Dealing team, Investment Managers and Consultants on the management of in-house unit trusts and bespoke client portfolios.
- Works closely with the Investment Platform Services Operations Team on queries relating to trade settlements, fund set-ups and ad-hoc requests.
- Supports the IPD Dealing Supervisor with the day-to-day running of the Best
- Execution programme and works closely with Compliance on monitoring Best
- Execution and other regulatory requests.
- Prepares re-balancing trades for in-house unit trusts and bespoke client portfolios as directed by the Investment Managers.
- Updates and maintains trade logs for in-house Unit Trusts and bespoke client portfolios.
- Acts as a liaison point for communication and resolution of IT support issues to the IT Department and ensures that problems experienced are resolved along with suggesting improvements.
- Cross checks portfolio administration tasks via CRM (SharePoint based) such as completing/checking Money in and Money out documentation, new stock request forms and other internal forms.
- Assists the Investment Platform Services team and Account Managers with whatever tasks are necessary in order to effectively manage the client portfolios.
- Assists in the bulk dealing allocations.
- Maintains the model manager portfolios contained in Symphony.
- Checks portfolio liquidity positions daily.
- Supports the IPS Dealing Supervisor in programmes for change and procedural documentation.
- Generating fee proposals for the Account Management Team on an as needed basis.
- Maintains all supporting spreadsheets within the Dealing Team and supports the IPS Dealing Supervisor and Manager in all systems testing and programmes for change (STP and order staging in Bloomberg).
