**The Team Leader role**

Are you a passionate, career-driven Team Leader or Supervisor looking for your next career move? Are you ready to join us on a new exciting journey, opening a brand-new Co-op site in the heart of the Baltic Triangle in Liverpool?

Do you have the ability to train, support and encourage new team members as they settle into new roles?

Can you show every new customer who walks through the door that you and the team are all there to help them, so they come back time and time again?

As a Team Leader at Coop, you’ll support the Store Manager to deliver an exceptional service by driving the team, customer and commercial priorities in store.

You’ll connect with the local community, helping with their day to day needs and in return, we’ll provide you with the training you need to be successful and help you to work on your personal development plan to further develop.

We are looking for someone who has the ability to have good relationships with the team and customers, working as a team and offering the right support to ensure the store is the best it can be.

The role requires individuals with the ability to carry out the physical aspects such as taking in deliveries and merchandising the store, and good business management skills would be advantageous, such as managing stock control, shrinkage and returns.

In addition, we will have our own on-site bakery so previous experience of working in or leading a bakery would also be advantageous.

This new store will be part of the local community operating 7 days a week.

**Requirements**:

- You will have previous retail and/or convenience Team Leader or Supervisory experience to be considered for this role.
- You will need to be mobile as our training may be given across several stores to ensure you get the best induction and are set up for success.
- You will know how to treat customers, building rapport and encouraging them to return, along with a positive can-do attitude and great behaviours as we have strong values and expect our managers to demonstrate them and lead by example.
- You must be comfortable with the hours our businesses trade and the physical aspects of the role.
