We are offering an excellent opportunity to join our multi-disciplinary Ophthalmic Imaging team.

You will be preferably a qualified Ophthalmic / Medical Photographer, or hold a Degree in Photography and wish to train in Ophthalmic Photography

Your post will cover a wide range of ophthalmic imaging including fundus photography, slit lamp photography, angiography, optical coherence tomography, scanning laser ophthalmoscopy and ocular plastic / orbital photography.

To provide Ophthalmic Imaging for the purpose of diagnosis and clinical management of patients at Coventry University Hospital and the Hospital of St Cross, Rugby.

To take a role within the ophthalmic imaging service for provision of digital imaging.

To impart medical and technical information to other members of the photography team / ophthalmologists and other professions as required.

To work if necessary, independently within ophthalmic clinics in Coventry and Rugby adhering to Departmental policies and procedures.

To be trained and participate in specialist imaging techniques including those that may be developed in the future.

To assist as required in departmental organisation and administrative duties in relation to patient care.

To utilise the hospital computer record system to access information to aid with patient care.

To assist in the achievement of the requirements of clinical governance by monitoring and maintaining high professional standards of care with good team communication.

To complete where necessary clinical adverse event forms assisting colleagues as required.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

To participate as appropriate in Clinical Audit, Departmental Research, Annual Review and UHCW NHS Trust mandatory training programmes.

To undertake training in new clinical techniques as appropriate.

To Participate in the Trusts Personal Development Review program working toward achievement of Key Skill Framework requirements and agreed objectives
