**About the role**
You will report to the Head of Engineering Capability Centre (ECC) as a member of the ECC team which delivers digital software for Boots. The software we produce enables our website for both our online retail and pharmacy, our digital marketing and much more. We have a core team and multiple partner teams at various locations globally, covering demand planning, software design, development, testing and release. Your role will involve controlling our complex costs from multiple sources and our charges to the projects using our services which is critical to our success.

Key responsibilities include:

- Developing and operating our ECC cost and recharges model, providing charges to projects in a timely, clear and accurate fashion
- Managing programme and project stakeholders, responding to queries and maintaining good relationships
- Managing partner commercials ensuring that we are getting value for money, seeking opportunities for cost reductions
- Owning the ECC financial governance processes and ensuring these are appropriate, flexible and agile
- Developing an estimation model aligned with Boots delivery frameworks to facilitate estimation with appropriate levels of accuracy and with clear understanding of the variation and unknowns and risks relative to the stage of delivery.
- Tracking and analysing the accuracy of ECC estimates against actuals, and implementing changes to drive increased accuracy devising measures to track impact
- Providing training and support for ECC teams to provide accurate information for financial tracking and underlying processes
- Identifying and implementing simplification and continuous improvement of the ECC processes, seeking and rolling out changes for greater efficiency
- Devising and developing measures of our performance and identifying where we can improve
- **What you’ll need to have**
- Expertise in financial management of programme and project and departmental costs
- Advanced modelling/excel skills
- Experience with reporting tools e.g. PowerBI
- Experience of presenting complex information in a clear and visual way
- Experience of designing and implementing significant change to ways of working
- Experience of designing and managing complex processes and compliance to these
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience of designing and delivering training appropriate to a variety of audiences
- Finance qualification
- Experience of complex data analysis and identifying trends and opportunities

It would be great if you also have
- Knowledge of IT project delivery methodology
- Experience of influencing senior stakeholders to support changes and consistent ways of working
- Experience of change management to land change successfully across all stakeholders
- Experience of an IT function in a large organisation
- Expert in departmental finances

**Hybrid Working - 3 days in office, 2 days from home**
We currently operate a fixed hybrid working approach for Support Office team members with a mix of remote and office-based working. Our set office days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with team members able to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
