Here at Serco, we are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor (Building) to join the team at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. This role will support the management and provision of an effective, efficient, and high-quality maintenance service to our customers at the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital, ensuring a safe, compliant, and pleasing environment for staff, patients, and visitors.

You will be maintaining the buildings fabric, plant, engineering infrastructure services and equipment to a high standard, delivering reliability and safeguard the future long-term serviceability of the estate and support reliability of the services provided by our customer to the local community.

Working as the Building Supervisor you will lead all aspects of the operational day to day delivery and management of our Building Maintenance service delivery obligations including planned & reactive maintenance, staff co-ordination and management, as well as driving, developing, continually improving service delivery, implementing change and taking ownership of the team.

Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital puts its patients at the heart of everything they do. The Hospital cares for the people of Norfolk, north Suffolk and further afield, providing almost one million out-patient appointments, day case procedures and in-patient admissions every year. The hospital has 1,200 beds and state-of-the art facilities and works closely with the University of East Anglia to train health professionals and have a strong focus on research.

**Main responsibilities of the role include**: Technical knowledge across a wide range of fixtures, fittings, and equipment to include flooring, fire doors, roofing, window restrictors, ceilings, doors, frames, roller shutters, fire shutters and compartmentation, fire walls, and drainage, etcDay to day coordination and management of the in-house service team and nominated sub-contractors in delivering reactive maintenance, planned preventive maintenance, fault finding, installation, servicing, testing, and commissioning to a wide range of services, plant and equipment.
To direct, plan and prioritise all activities and provide guidance to ensure that maintenance work carried out is effective, efficient and meets defined standards in a cost-effective manner in line with service demands, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), associated PMS, policies and procedures.
Allocate and monitor all estates service Tasks using the CAFM System in accordance with policies & procedures ensuring that all response, resolution and completion times are adhered to. Also be involved with the updating of PPM, asset records and development of work-load management through the CAFM System. Manage staff performance and sickness. Supporting Minor Works and Projects where required - undertake management of Minor Words/New Installation Works to include specifications, pricing, materials, obtaining quotes, etcDirect, plan and prioritise all activities and provide guidance to ensure maintenance is carried out efficiently and meets defined standards. Allocate and monitor all estates tasks using CAFM. To hold and undertake Authorised Person duties in a least one discipline. Take part in various Estates Audits to include staff quality audits and inspections of work standards. Strong understanding of compliance and associated regulations, industry standards, approved codes of practice, etcSupport with undertaking staff engagement, 1:1s, PDRs, Toolbox Talks, etc

**What you’ll need to do the role**: Completion of a recognised appropriate Building Craft Apprenticeship or other relevant structured Training Program. Appropriate City & Guilds or BTEC certification or other recognised training bodies. Proven experience of working in a similar environment. Knowledge and understanding of Building Services. Good people management skills. Good communication and customer service skills. Computer literate.
