**LOCATION**
This role will be based in our Leeds office, and we offer a hybrid working pattern of 3 days in the office and 2 days WFH.
**ABOUT THIS ROLE**
Responsible for managing sea, air, and road freight from ghd suppliers to ghd market warehouses globally, within cost and service targets. Additionally responsible for receiving, processing, and shipping orders to distributor customers in the Middle East and elsewhere.
**JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Working with the Supply Planning team, ensure that stock is despatched and delivered to agreed service levels.
- Ensure that sea, air, and road freight is booked to move shipments from ghd suppliers to ghd markets on time and in line with freight utilisation targets.
- Track shipments and ensure that up-to-date information is available to the Supply Chain and market teams. Work with suppliers, freight forwarders and receiving locations to resolve any issues, escalating where necessary.
- Keep market operational teams informed via regular delivery schedules, ensure that shipments are booked into receiving warehouses in a timely manner. Work with suppliers and market teams to resolve any delivery discrepancies.
- Specifically manage cross-dock operations for direct delivery from suppliers to ghd markets.
- Monitor the performance of freight providers and provide regular reporting on cost and service KPIs. Identify opportunities for improvement and execute improvement plans.
- Receive invoices from freight forwarders, ensure that these are in line with agreed pricing and correctly coded before approval.
- Receive orders from distributor customers in the Middle East and elsewhere, liaise with the Commercial, Finance and Supply Planning teams to process and ship. Arrange necessary shipping and export documentation.
- Where required, prepare commercial invoices and other shipping documentation, ensuring that these are complete and correct. Work with freight forwarders and local markets to help resolve any customs clearance issues.
- With appropriate training and qualification in place, organise dangerous goods (DG) shipments via sea, air, or road.
- Provide regular updates on Logistics master data to the market operational teams. Specifically, ensure data in the hub is up to date and correct for Germany warehouse operation.
- Put in place specific plans for the efficient delivery of visual merchandising to markets globally.
- Support regular stock counts and stock reconciliation where necessary.
**REQUIREMENTS**
- Relevant Logistics experience within a similar global role - ideally within a fast-moving, international consumer products business
- Experience in managing supplier relationships.
- Knowledge of sea, air and road freight procedures and markets
- Good commercial understanding.
- Strong focus on customer service, both internally and externally
- Proven skills in building relationships and managing stakeholders.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Keen attention to detail with the capability to troubleshoot and solve problems quickly.
- Work well under pressure with the ability to deliver to tight deadlines.
- Highly adaptable to change, demonstrating a proactive approach.
- Adapts well to both working in a team and independently.
- Some travel may be required.
