Based in Charlecote, Warwickshire, our purpose-built site brings our areas of expertise and team together, with a dedicated plant nursery allowing us to grow and house a huge range of beautiful trees, plants and cut flowers, a design studio, welding and carpentry workshop, a warehouse of interior items and props, and offices all under one roof.

Position: Yard Operative/Foreman

Overtime: Available in Peak Seasons (Spring and Summer)

Location: Charlecote and occasional driving and off-site work

Shift: Monday - Friday. 8am to 4.30pm in low season.

Earlier and/or later starts in peak season.

Weekend work required on specific dates.

**About the Role**

We are currently looking for a Yard Operative to join the business to assist the company’s operational activities. Ensuring the yard is managed efficiently. Vehicles are loaded in preparation for site visits. Flexibility required due to peak work demands.

**Task and Responsibilities**

To keep the yard and storage units clean and tidy.

Prepare all vehicles to loading plans prior to site visits and instillations.

Occasional requirement to drive company vehicles to site.

Unloading of all the returning products.

Document vehicle inspections and safety checks. Ensure cleanliness of company vehicles.

Request additional 3rd party vehicles during peak seasons and high demand.

Support other departments when required, particularly in low season.

Assist in the physical loading and unloading of vehicles.

Supervise ad Hoc staff allocated to the yard.

Accept receival and coordination of deliveries from suppliers.

**Skills required**:
Forklift licence (desirable) or undertake training to acquire (essential).
Previous work history within a similar engineering environment (desirable).

Physically fit due to the nature of the work within this role (essential).

**Job Types**: Full-time, Zero hours contract

**Salary**: £11.00 per hour
