Overview
This newly created Content Writer role will be working as part of a new team to build exceptional content to engage and inform colleagues globally in our organisation. The project will help users find information that will answer their questions and promote a self-service culture to improve efficiency.
This is an opportunity for a highly motivated individual who wants to utilise their skills to improve the user experience and employee satisfaction. Our team will create, rewrite and maintain knowledge articles and user guides on ServiceNow.
Key Accountabilities
- Create and update content in ServiceNow, using standard templates and components, assigning tags, identifying keywords and capturing metadata
- Write Knowledge Articles including User Guides and Policies in a clear, concise, user-friendly format that conforms to publishing guidelines
- Review and validate information to ensure content is relevant, up-to-date, and searchable for multiple audiences
- Collaborate with knowledge manager to ensure content is accurate and written in line with publishing guidelines
- Transform data into logical steps to simplify complex descriptions for seamless user journeys
- Verify that written content answers frequent asked questions and provides instructions for problem solving and troubleshooting
- Update and revise content based on feedback, analytics and user behaviours to support Continuous Improvement
- Respond positively to feedback from stakeholders to enhance user experience
- Manage your own workload and multiple tasks efficiently to maximise performance
Essential Skills
- Previous experience reviewing and writing knowledge articles and user guides
- Proficiency in the English language and excellent writing skills with the ability to write for different audiences and purposes
- Strong focus and attention to detail, including the ability to review your own and peers’ work
- Creativity and problem-solving skills with the ability to act spontaneously, decisively and flexibly, using sound judgment to deliver engaging content with pace and precision
- Ability pull facts and other relevant information required to write concise and compelling content on various topics
- Willingness to work in a dynamic environment and adapting to new writing styles
- Ability to work independently with little or no daily supervision
- Good time management skills with the ability to manage and deliver multiple projects, to tight deadlines
- Some knowledge of MetaData best practices and web content standards
- Familiarity with knowledge management within ServiceNow and other CMS authoring tools with the ability to select appropriate components and adherence to specific guidelines within the organisation
