**Key responsibilities for the role include**:

- Managing a team of diverse Bioinformaticians
- Collaborating with external and internal partners to develop new services and tests using emerging genomic technologies.
- Promoting and publishing research and development activities on a national and international basis.

The All Wales Genomics Laboratory has a wide range of Next Generation Sequencing technologies and has recently launched the WINGS service for sick babies. This is an exciting time to join the service as we expand our services wider.

Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is one of the largest Integrated Health Boards in the UK, employing over 15,000 staff, providing over 100 specialist services.
