Sales Assistant

We are looking for a Full-Time and/or Part-Time sales assistant to join our small, busy team.
Retail and sales experience is essential. Barista training is a bonus.
**About us**: We are a coffee & tea specialist based in Soho, London. We sell coffee beans and loose-leaf tea and also have a coffee machine for takeaway coffee. We opened back in 1887 and are well-known, and well-loved. We are a true independent, family-run store.
**Your Role**:
- You will be customer-facing, serving the clientele who visit the store, and helping them choose their desired product. Training on all products will be provided.
- We also have a busy mail order service so you will also be picking and packing orders for dispatch.
- You will be required to assist in deliveries **Heavy lifting is involved - Up To 20KG Sacks**.**:
- You will help maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the shop.
- We are an established shop that prides itself on our friendly customer service so the ideal applicant must have impeccable customer service skills and always be courteous, happy, and professional at all times.
- You must have a friendly yet professional attitude, great communication skills, a positive demeanour, and a tidy appearance.
- Someone who has initiative, is organised and can work unsupervised.
- A positive, energetic team member who likes to be on the go all day - we are busy.
- We are a small team - so you must be a team player and willing.
The full time job is 40 hours per week, 5 days a week, including Saturdays. Some overtime will be required. The part time position is for 3 or 4 days per week, 24-34 hours, depending on how many days.
