We're looking for a support worker to join our friendly Lincoln team during an exciting time of development.

This role is an opportunity to join our care team as we continue to invest in the development of existing and new services in Lincoln. We're looking forward to opening new facilities and providing more services for individuals with a wider range of support needs in the coming year.

Who are you?
- You're passionate about quality and committed to providing high quality care.

- You have great housekeeping skills including cooking, cleaning, and budget management.
- You're able to remain calm in challenging situations with a considerate and understanding approach towards the needs of individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism.
- You understand the importance of self-care and are willing to assist individuals with grooming and personal care when required.
- You're ready to complete in-house training and basic induction.
- Finally, you have basic IT skills.

The Role
- Supporting activities and day trips such as swimming, baking, visiting the cinema and more.
- Organising fun and simulating leisure activities with an awareness of existing interests and supporting new experiences.
- Assisting with self-care ensuring personal health and care needs.
- Planning, purchasing, and preparing meals.
- Providing a caring environment in line with specific procedures as detailed in individual care plans, whilst maintaining respect and dignity.
- Administrating and recording medication as per the medication system.
- Communicating with the manager including significant developments and any difficulties that arise within the care setting.
- Arranging and chaperoning doctors, dentist, and some social appointments as necessary.

The Organisation

Linkage Community Trust, commonly referred to as Linkage, is a registered charity that supports people with learning disabilities, autism or both. We deliver high quality specialist education, care (including residential), adult day services, employability and support services throughout Lincolnshire and the East Riding of Yorkshire.

The Trust was established in 1976 in recognition that there was a distinct shortage of appropriate support to help people with varying degrees of learning difficulties and disabilities to lead creative and purposeful lives in the community. This remains the case today.

Our vision is that people with learning disabilities, autism or both have opportunities and choice and are supported to achieve their aspirations.
