English Lecturer

We are currently seeking a highly motivational and inspirational lecturer to join our dynamic English team. This is an exciting opportunity to become a part of one of County Durham's leading Further Education providers and make a positive impact on learners' skills development in English.

As an enthusiastic lecturer, you will have the opportunity to deliver engaging lessons on GCSE English, Functional Skills, and potentially ESOL courses (if you have the relevant experience). We are searching for someone who can inspire learners and facilitate their progress in English. Your role will involve delivering an ambitious curriculum to a diverse group of learners across our three County Durham sites. If you have a passion for English and a desire to help people develop essential language skills, this position is perfect for you.

Please note that teaching assignments may require you to teach at various locations across County Durham. Travel between sites during the teaching day will be reimbursed, and we are open to discussing the most suitable location for you based on the timetable requirements.

Your teaching responsibilities may encompass various English qualifications and a diverse range of learners, including:
14-16 provision in our in-house school and Home Educators Year 10 and Year 11.

Mainstream vocational learners from various curriculum areas.

Adults returning to education.

Foundation learners with SEND and additional needs.

Essential Requirements:
Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy qualification.

Teaching qualification (Cert Ed/PGCE/DTLLS).
