**Technical Quotation Expert (TQE) - Component/Interiors**
- Reports to - Global Head of Sales Support_

**Overview**

UTAC provides vehicle test, validation and engineering services to customers in the automotive, transport, tyre, petrochemical, defence and security industries. It is independent and impartial in everything it does.

It has a range of test facilities for components and full vehicles. These include varied indoor and outdoor test tracks in the UK and Northern Finland, engine dynamometers, environmental chambers, crash laboratories and advanced emissions chassis dynamometers.

**Role & Responsibilities**
- Technical qualification of leads
- Technical qualification of opportunities
- Interpretation of customer requirements and procedures
- Providing customer consultative guidance in determining the optimum test solution
- Providing support to the Sales organisation in attending technical customer meetings
- Collation of technical information
- Primary responsibility for preparation of technical quotations
- Primary responsibility for preparation of Statements Of Work (SOW)
- Consultation with UTAC’s Expert Network
- Providing commercial support to the Operational Project Manager
- Providing technical support to the Commercial organisation
- Supporting the achievement of order intake forecast within the Activity/Section of scope
- Act in accordance with the behaviours for UTAC staff at all times

**Person Specification**

**Qualifications**
- Degree level or equivalent in relevant Engineering discipline.

**Experience**
- Test Engineering experience in one or more disciplines relevant to the Component/Interiors section (experience in other Component activity test disciplines would be advantageous, though not essential)
- Sales/customer experience/mindset within an automotive or transportation setting

- NOTE: This position be will based at the Leyland site and will always for some home-working, by agreement, in line with company policies

**Salary**: From £30,000.00 per year
