**Collections & Recoveries Team Leader**

With effective account management at its core, the role of the Area Manager is to manage, maximise and monitor all aspects of the business generated from a defined territory or a defined group of dealers, whether that business is dealer or customer (end user) introduced.
As the **C&R Team Leader**, you will be responsible for managing and optimising collection and processing activities in order to minimise risk costs, optimising returns and deliver best-in-class service levels
**Day to day**:
- Responsible for managing all aspects of retail arrears across our UK and Ireland portfolios.
- Co-ordinating the recovery processes, including liaison with field staff, the dealer network and external agencies.
- Managing and resolving legal matters in conjunction with the Risk Manager, utilising in-house and external legal counsels.
- Coaching and training staff, performing quality touchpoint sessions in order to drive engagement and accelerate team member development.
- Provide accurate, regular data on the portfolio performance to the Management Team and fulfil all other reporting obligations for the C&R Team.
- Build strong relationships with other departments, specifically Finance in respect of provisioning, Sales for support on curing challenging accounts, and Operations, to improve the efficiency of the novation and reschedule processes.
- Participate and assist with various projects as directed by Risk Manager.
**Measures**:
- Adherence to group risk procedures
- Close control of retail arrears with proactive management of overdue receivables
- On-going monitoring and management of dealer arrears
- Prompt and efficient processing of novation and reschedule requests
- Timely, relevant, accurate and complete reporting.
**Essentials**:
- 3+ years’ experience as collections team lead.
- Experience working in FCA regulated environment.
- A people manager who leads by example, comfortable delegating, but willing to step-in when needed.
- Individual who has an organised and structured approach adept at working in complex environments with deadlines.
- An approachable individual able to build relationships and inspire loyalty, trust and enthusiasm in team members; motivating and encouraging enthusiasm in their colleagues, customers and team to reach a common goal.
- A task-focused problem solver, able to manage and prioritise multiple requirements.
- Goes the extra mile for our customers.
- Able to work with multiple, complex IT systems.
- Identifies potential process improvements and implements accordingly.
**Extras**:
- Exposure to or interest in the agricultural sector (desirable).
- CICM qualified (desirable).
