Sports Turf Maintenance Supervisor

Carrick Sports are looking for a
**Maintenance Supervisor**. This role would suit a professional groundsperson or greenkeeper looking for a change.

We have two base locations in Worcester, England, and Cumbernauld, just north of Glasgow, but our work takes place all over the UK. Carrick Sports is well placed to meet the demanding needs of the UK and worldwide natural, artificial and hybrid turf industry.

**Working environment**
- Based out of our Worcestershire office
- Sites are nationwide so travel and overnight stops will be required
- This is an outdoor based role
- Exposure to all weather conditions, traffic conditions, and hazards connected with dirt, dust and noise.
- Will involve handing of chemicals, and turf growing substances and materials
- Contact with the public
- The post requires a lot of walking, standing, bending and lifting throughout the day

**Your duties will include**:

- Mowing and collection
- Aeration
- Scarification
- Overseeding
- Application using spraying equipment of pest and disease controls
- Production of spraying records
- Transport of equipment to site
- Inspecting all vehicles and plant daily
- Liaising with supervisor to identify, specify and order appropriate materials
- Providing technical consultation responses regarding updates or changes of policy or procurements as required.

**You will need**:

- Full driving License
- PA1, PA2 & PA6
- Tractor driving and mower operating experience
- Formal Health & Safety qualification would be beneficial - but not essential
- Knowledge of sports/fine turf at level 1,2,3 NVQ
- HGV would be beneficial - but not essential

**Salary**: £10.00-£14.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:

- Maintenance: 1 year (preferred)
