Java Developer - Hybrid working - £40k to £55k DOE- Bristol

A successful SaaS Client in the aviation industry are going through an exciting period of change and growth, offering excellent career progression and access to a wide range of desirable technologies.

Over the coming years, the business will continue to grow in headcount and revenue as the new product line will be released within their specialist market.
You will be joining as a Software Developer working closely with the Technical Lead to produce and maintain the software products, you will work with Java, Spring, Core API's, Hibernate ORM, MySQL, AWS, Jenkins, Ansible, Git.

You will be collaborating with the wider team of QA testers and getting them involved early to pre-empt any issues and prevent problems from occurring to allow the smooth release of software. A knowledge of testing is useful to have, but not necessary. Youwill be implementing new functionality on the existing platform, working with clients to ensure their requirements are met. Any experience of TypeScript is great, but not essential. Due to the planned growth and progress of the business there are excellenttraining and progression routes on offer as well as the chance to study courses of interest and gain the attached certifications which is fully supported by your team and managers.

You will be AWS certified if you aren't already, at no cost to yourself
As the successful Software Developer you will have:

- Commercial coding experience working with Java, Spring
- A passion for coding languages (Java, Groovy, JavaScript, TypeScript)
- Understanding of entire SDLC
- An understanding of Agile working methodology (Scrum, Agile, Kanban etc.)
- Experience working with extreme programming methodology
- Experience with Jenkins, Git
- Experience with Hibernate or other ORM tools
- Experience with Core API
- Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (MongoDB, MySQL)
- A desire to learn and improve whilst working closely with amazing and talented people.
- Ability to analyse, maintain and improve existing solutions.
Desirable experience:

- AWS
- Jenkins or other CI tools
- Ansible / Terraform
- Microservices
- TypeScript
