**Role Title**:Cloud Services Transition Manager - 6 months - Hybrid

Our Professional Services client are looking for a Transition Manager to help deliver a Cloud Transformation Project. They need someone who has experience moving services from On Prem to Azure.

Key experience includes strong stakeholder and vendor management skills. A technical background would be an advantage.

**Responsibilities**

**Your Expertise**
- This role will have ownership & accountability for the implementation, operation, and continuous service improvement of Cloud infrastructure platforms users and capabilities and help them run their businesses core digital operating platforms with confidence
- You will be responsible for defining, planning, and delivering the strategic cloud infrastructure platform
- You will have a hands-on approach and manage a global team consisting of Cloud Infrastructure, Operations and Support specialists
- You will take responsibility for defining operational best practice, working with our Cloud Services Architects to develop / enhance services, managing service partnerships, and ensuring adherence to the agreed SLAs to deliver the best customer experiencepossible
- You will collaborate with our dedicated transformation team to transform our operational model from our current hybrid cloud to our future cloud platform
- Management and continual improvement of Cloud Operations
- Manage third party vendor relationships and hold them accountable for cost and delivery, including SLAs of any outsourced functions
- Assess the deployment process to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions towards continuous deployment and continuous integration (CI/CD)
- Evangelize, implement and manage a robust DevOps process Responsibilities Cloud Operations
- Provide leadership in daily operations of the Managed Service Data Centre, production platforms, systems, and network operations across the cloud platforms while mitigating, monitoring, and managing related risks, including incident management & response
- Develop and establish industry best practice technology standards, policies and governance for hosting services including cyber security, business continuity, and service management
- Manage the portfolio of infrastructure assets and services from purchase or adoption through their life cycle in adherence to global policies
- Contribute to the development of the hosting services strategy and roadmap
- Ensuring the stability and performance of the hosting platforms including the underlying infrastructure to meet or exceed the contractual obligations of the organisation
- Serve as a principal point of leadership, expertise, and collaboration to not only internal departments but to Customers on all operational matters relating to the hosting platforms Budgetary Management
- Partner with Finance to manage the departmental budgets (CAPEX & OPEX), revenue, and the associated spend to ensure value for money
- Review monthly forecasts (e.g. consumption & capacity), re-forecast where necessary to ensure they are in line with existing projections while ensuring the profit/loss gross margin are achieved where applicable
- Develop full costed business cases for all initiatives and projects with benefit realisation, return of investment and total cost of ownership being measurable and delivered People management
- Provide day-to-day management of the team by setting objectives for all staff, prioritizing and approving work packages, performance reviews, and ensuring 'service excellence' is embedded across the team Experience:

- A background of managing high availability services in cloud-based technologies, ideally at an MSP or SI with Hosting operations
- Demonstrable experience of implementation and operational management of industry standard service management frameworks, for example ITIL 4A thorough understanding of Cyber and Information Security practices in a hosting environment within complex businesses
- Outstanding customer relationship building skills with the ability to grasp customers' needs and suggest timely solutions
- Experience of implementing and managing FinOps processes
- Passion for automation and continuous improvement of service and platform operations with experience or management of teams who have delivered these services
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage competing Customer demands
- Excellent written, verbal communication, analytical, presentational and facilitation skills Capabilities
- Technical Capability: uses technical, job knowledge and experience, incorporating functional skills and broad-based business knowledge, to meet and exceed job requirements and customer expectations

**Skills & Experience**
- A track record in Cloud Platforms Operations Management within a highly regulated environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Azure related technologies, CI/CD related tooling
- Ability to exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results and ensuring that project goals, schedules and performance requirements are achieved
- Ability to perform process-based performance benchmarking with strong analytical skills, strategic focus, broad-based business judgment, proven initiative, creativity, assertiveness, and leadership abilities
- Goal-oriented and proactive
