Finance Analyst

Grafton Banks Finance are working with a growing commercial business with offices in Haywards Heath to recruit a Finance Analyst on a full time Permanent basis. Reporting into the Senior Business Partner, this job role combines analytical capabilities withstakeholder management and business partnering capabilities. You'll support the Business Partner through, effective analysis, tracking, performance monitoring and challenge, budgeting and planning and stakeholder management.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

- Business Initiatives and Tracking
- Assist in the development of analysis and models for initiative cost benefit analysis and assist in developing presentations to Exco and Manco
- Preparation of the benefits of initiatives to ensure these are accurately tracked and presented on a monthly basis and challenged where appropriate
- Assist with the drive business improvements and contribute to the success of the business. Act as a catalyst in driving forward initiatives critical to delivering the strategy
- Develop a deep understanding KPIs on a daily, weekly and monthly basis which will enable extrapolate that performance to the financial impact influencing options to mitigate any shortfall
- Assist with the month end expense process, liaising with Financial Accounting and producing monthly expense reporting for the pillar Leadership
- Investigate any trends or variance of actual to budget and forecast performance
- Assist with the creation and monitoring of relevant MI reports of key trading stats
- Help the business partner’s track and challenge cost spend and income across the pillar
- Planning and Forecasting
- Assist with the creation of the annual Budget and quarterly reforecast for the pillar or entity, gathering relevant data and helping to determine assumption development across the plan period
- Help ensure the change initiatives are correctly reflected in the budgets and forecasts
- Help ensure the internal IT development for the initiatives is correctly reflected in the budgets and forecasts
- Assist with the production of detailed financial models as appropriate for the pillar cost analysis, revenue performance and profitability models
- Effectively partner the business to create financial solutions for a specific pillar of the business
- This role holder will be aligned to a specific pillar and Entity will be required to build working relationships with key stakeholders across the pillar or Entity
- Liaise with the pillar senior stakeholders to assist in the delivery of accurate financial information to aid decision making to maximise shareholder value and return
- Assist and deputise for Business Partners across all aspects when required
