**NPD Assistant**

Reporting directly to the NPD Manger, this will be an exciting hands-on role where you will be involved in both kitchen and office.

The role of a New Product Development Assistant (NPD Assistant) is a busy, varied and important role that will involve supporting our NPD and Technical Team, ensuring that our products are produced to the highest quality.

**Main duties and responsibilities**:

- Liaising with all departments on an on-going basis and ensuring open dialogue and smooth information flow at all times
- Assisting in the development process for various projects and accurately completing all project-related documentation
- Ensuring that all projects are delivered in a consistent manner and according to agreed procedures and specifications
- Assist in the creation and Preparation of samples for external and internal review (this will include cooking)
- Participate in taste panels and Organoleptic Reviews
- Involvement in product trials
- Preparing and despatching samples to customers and maintaining sample calendar
- Ability to prioritise workload in a fast-moving environment. This is a hands on roll
- Good written and verbal communication
- You’ll have to be well-organised and be able to maintain your focus when you’re working to make sure that everything is done on schedule and in an extremely accurate manner.
- As well as being part of the team, you’ll be expected to work on your own and use your own initiative at times so you have to have a confident, outgoing nature.
- Being a good communicator is important as you’ll be dealing with lots of different people in this job so you have to be able to get your points across while remaining calm and professional at all times and acting as an ambassador for your company.
- Because you’re going to be working with facts and figures and writing reports, you should have good written and numerical skills.
- You’ll need to have an interest in the food product development process and a love of food.
- The job involves paying a lot of attention to detail.
